A private foundation of public interest that organises trade fairs and congresses, manages the Lleida exhibition centre and collaborates with economic activities in the region.
The Foundation
Fundació La Fira de Lleida
Trade fair activity in Lleida has been documented since 1232, but the institution as we know it today was born in the nineteen-sixties, when the Lleida trade fair institution was created and joined the Spanish Trade Fairs Association (AFE).
In 2000, Fira de Lleida became a Foundation, a formula that allows for optimised operational and financial management of the entity and provides a strong boost to the trade fair activity of the city.
Our functions
- Organise trade fairs and congresses at local, national and international level.
- Manage the exhibition centre, located on the left bank of the Segre river, in the heart of Lleida.
- Collaborate with other economic activities in the region.

Consolidation, expansion and internationalisation
The three lines of work that set out the institution's roadmap, presented to the Board of trustees in June 2026.
Consolidation
Strengthen our own trade shows and the working team, with special attention to the commercial area and the institution's communication.
Expansion
Grow in area and capacity with the new 116,000 m² exhibition centre project, prepared for events of diverse formats.
Internationalisation
Project the professional trade shows—Sant Miquel, Eurofruit, Municipàlia and AgroBiotech Forum—beyond the borders of Spain.
Stated objective: for Fira de Lleida to be the third trade fair entity in the country and consolidate the city as the second trade fair capital of Catalonia.
