A new exhibition centre for Lleida

With a surface area of 116,000 m² —some 35,000 m² more than the current one—, the new exhibition centre will be characterized by versatility and cutting-edge technology, and will have greater capacity to host events in different formats.

Project Status

A Process Already Underway

These are the stages that have brought the new exhibition centre project to the preliminary design competition call.

  1. May 2026 · Project Presentation

    The Board of Trustees of Fundació La Fira de Lleida presents the new exhibition centre project, designed to consolidate Lleida as the second trade fair capital of Catalonia, with cutting-edge technology and greater capacity to host events in different formats.

  2. June 2026 · New General Director

    Eduard Martín Lineros, a computer engineer expert in technological innovation and management in the public sector, takes on the role of general director and sets consolidation, expansion and internationalization as key axes.

  3. 17 June 2026 · Publication of Tender Documents

    The European Union's website publishes the tender documents for the preliminary design of the new exhibition centre, which will include the reorganization of the space and the design of the «Fira Zero» hall.

  4. Restricted Design Competition with Jury

    The call, promoted by Fundació La Fira de Lleida, is addressed to architectural firms and is resolved through a restricted design competition with jury.
