The companies participating in the Lleida Trade Show on Training and Employment have already held over one hundred contacts with young people from the region

Thousands of participants, mostly young students from Lleida educational centres, filled halls 3, 4 and 5 of Fira de Lleida on Thursday during the first day of FormaOcupa, the Lleida Trade Show on Training and Employment. Visitors came from the city of Lleida and from various towns in the region, whose presence was largely made possible thanks to the Diputació de Lleida service, which these days provides free transport by coach to some 2,100 students from the Lleida regions. On the other hand, the companies present at the trade show with concrete job offers have made over one hundred contacts today with young people potentially interested in the aforementioned offers.

The Mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, remarked during the institutional visit that "we must have the capacity and the possibility to train all those young people who in the future must nourish our economic sectors" and that the trade show also represents "an opportunity for those young people who do not know what they want to study and who here see all the possibilities and can thus guide their professional career".

The chief magistrate expressed being "very happy" about the massive attendance of visitors and said that this great response justifies the expansion of the trade fair's surface area, an expansion that "is both a quantitative leap and a qualitative leap" and confirms FormaOcupa "as one of the leading trade shows for vocational training throughout the country". He also stressed that the trade show will help prevent talented people from leaving the region to work elsewhere and added that the presence at the trade show of business entities such as the Hospitality Federation, the Chamber of Commerce or PIMEC, "organisations that constantly tell me they need people to work in certain specialities". "Companies plus training equals results", he concluded.

Tomorrow Friday will feature the Speed Job Dating, a rapid job interview session with companies from various sectors. Interested people can request an appointment with these companies on the website www.formaocupa.com, where all the trade show activities and the aforementioned job offers can also be consulted.
